We are celebrating our first birthday this week! On May 23, 2014, we received our Federal Tax ID number that made it official: Wicked Simple Marketing was born! Since that time, the business has gone through a bit of a transformation, starting with a name change to MavroCreative, LLC (read all about that here!), a move to a new office location at the Hingham Shipyard, and the hiring of our first employee, Molly Fabiano!
Over the course of the past 12 months, I have had the pleasure and honor of working with over 50 businesses. Some were for brochure design. Others were for a complete branding package. Many more were for website design. Several were for print ads. And a few more were for copywriting. All of them were distinct and individual, but most of all fun!
I have loved every single project and have enjoyed meeting new people and helping their businesses grow along the way.
When I embarked upon this journey last year, my goal was to not only build a company that I could be proud of, but to also have the opportunity to spend more time with my family. Last May, I made the decision to spend the upcoming year traveling with my twin daughters and visiting prospective colleges. I couldn’t believe how quickly the time had passed and that they were heading into their senior year of high school. I wanted to be around to spend every moment of it with them.
It’s hard to believe that a year has passed by so quickly and that my babies are now 18 and will be leaving for college in August. One is heading to Pennsylvania and the other to North Carolina. Neither of them will be close by, which makes me sad but also makes me very proud to see that they have grown to be independent young ladies. It’s exciting to know that their future lies before them and none of us knows what windy, twisty, unexpected paths their lives will take.
And that’s how I feel about MavroCreative. When I started last year, I didn’t know what to expect. And as I write this today, I don’t know what direction life will take me and my business. But one thing I know for sure is that it’s been one fantastic ride so far and I’m excited to see what the future holds.
Thank you to every one of my clients who has supported me and helped me grow to where we are today. I couldn’t have done this without you and I appreciate you more than I could ever express. Here’s to a great first year; I look forward to celebrating many, many more!
